Sweetie Snowball Recipe
Makes 12 sweetie snowballs
Ingredients:
15g margarine or butter
60g white mini marshmallows
60g Rice Krispies
Drop of vanilla essence
Sprinkles or small sweets (optional)
Icing sugar for decoration
You’ll also need 12 mini muffin cases
Method:
Step 1: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over a medium heat. Once this is melted, add the marshmallows and vanilla essence until completely melted. Remove from the heat.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, add the marshmallow mixture to the Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
Step 3: If you would like to add sprinkles or sweets, separate the mixture into bowls and add in the sprinkles or sweets – larger sweets may not hold well in the mixture and will be best to use at the end for decorations.
Step 4: Let the mix cool down for around 5 minutes.
Step 5: Dampen your hands (this will make it easier to roll the snowballs – but make sure they are not dripping wet as this will cause the mixture to fall apart).
Step 6: Take a spoonful of mixture and roll into a ball – repeat until all 12 snowballs are made.
Step 7: Once all the snowballs have been rolled, add them into the mini muffin cases, and add any final decorations and sprinkle with icing sugar.
Your Sweetie Snowballs will last for up to two days in an airtight container.
